Kate & Marianne
In 2007, Kate Harding founded Shapely Prose, now one of the most popular body acceptance blogs on the web. She is also a regular contributor to Salon’s Broadsheet and has essays in the recent anthologies Yes Means Yes! (Jaclyn Friedman and Jessica Valenti) and Feed Me! (Harriet Brown). She hopes to eventually contribute to many more books with exclamation points in their titles.
A graduate of University of Toronto and Vermont College’s MFA in Writing program, Kate lives in Chicago with her husband and two geriatric mutts. You can find her even more narcissistic author site at kateharding.info and contact her at katesblog at gmail dot com. The photo at left was taken by Antonio Perez for a profile of Kate in The Chicago Tribune, if you’re dying to know even more.
Marianne Kirby is an Orlando-based writer, editor, artist, cat-owning, feminist-theorizing, blue-hair-dyeing, fatty. She helps moderate the livejournal community Fatshionista, blogs at The Rotund, sells mixed media pieces and jewelry at a gallery called Naked Art (which is not to say it is all nudes – just that the art tends to be function and nonpretentious), and generally has herself a good time.
Marianne’s author site can be found at mariannekirby.com, and you can contact her at therotund at the rotund dot com. The photo at right was taken for a profile of Marianne in the Orlando Weekly, if you’re dying to know even more.
